The Montessori Approach

Through the Montessori approach to childcare and education we can ensure that your child receives a solid foundation to all areas of development while providing a safe and homely environment.

Our aim is simply to give the best possible start to pre-school children. The Montessori approach takes as its cue the natural curiosity which all children have and to foster it though play to help them discover the world. Perhaps the first thing you will notice about our school, apart from interesting displays, is the special equipment which the school contains. You can view it from our facilities and sections pages. That’s why the school has calm and unpressured atmosphere, which itself leads to a delight in learning for its own sake.

All this attention on a child as an individual might make a child self-centered if it were not balanced by the importance we lay on shared living. Parents often notice, with Montessori guidance, how responsible children become with their own things as well as their willingness to share and help others.

Through our activities we help them develop their physical and mental awareness by sports, swimming, dancing etc.. We also help them learn the value of helping and communicating with others by making art handicrafts and face painting. Planting day activities aim is to help them valued our nature. Our catering activities teach them how to be responsible at cooking and washing dishes even at a younger age.

The Montessori Method

The Montessori method of education was started by Dr. Maria Montessori 100 years ago. Montessori was an innovative educationalist who believed that every child was an individual. The success of her methods continues to influence both policy and practice in early childhood education.

It is called an indirect teaching method because it neither imposes on a child nor does it abandon him in total free play, rather it provides a carefully planned and structured environment in which the child can grow and learn in a natural way with the best possible opportunities for reaching his or her maximum potential.
